Updates for the 2021 H-1B Cap Season

As was implemented last year, under the 2021 (fiscal year 2022) process, employers or their attorney representative will be required to electronically register each case online and pay a registration fee.USCIS will open an initial registration period in March and applicants will be randomly selected through their “lottery” system. Once selected in the lottery, petitioners will have 90 days to file.The U.S. limits the number of H-1B visas issued each year. The current H-1B visa cap is 65,000. An additional 20,000 H-1B visas are granted to individuals with Master’s or higher degrees obtained from the U.S.
